It’s only been like two months since South Korean group BTS released their record-breaking album ‘Map Of The Soul: 7‘. The highly awaited album dropped on February 21, 2020, which went on to become No. 1 in 21 countries. And the seven members are already working on the next album.
In a video blog shared on Friday by the group’s leader RM, he teased about the fact that they are in the initial stage of the album! “I turned this on because we wanted to try something new. It’s not that this content has a specific name to it. With our concerts being postponed or canceled and the situation extending over a long period of time, we came to the conclusion to try something new,” RM said in the video (translated by Soompi).
He further said that they are yet to decide everything in detail but are already working on the next album and the kind of sound they would like to bring to the table. “It’s nothing much, we just wanted to share what we’ve been doing to feel more connected and that we’re doing a lot of things together. From now on, we plan to share our lives with you about once a week.”
“I’m sure many of you have guessed by now, but we’re going to be releasing another album. We’ve begun preparing for it. We’re going to be sharing that preparation process with you. No details have been decided as of now, we’ve only just started talking about it. That we’re going to be creating something new. We’re going to work hard to do that. We’re not sure when that album will be released. I’m sure there will be moments that we don’t want to show because the album making process isn’t always beautiful, but even though we don’t know what the end result will be, we’ll do our best,” RM said before signing off with a finger heart.
BTS released their 20 track album with five music videos including ‘Interlude: Shadow’, ‘Outro: Ego’, ‘Black Swan’, ‘ON’ Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima and ‘On’ official music video. Adding to that, their previous mini-album songs ‘Boy With Luv’ ft. Halsey and ‘Intro: Persona’ makes it seven music videos altogether.
They also have their Japanese album release in the coming months.
ARMY, are we ready for the next comeback?
