“Bollywood is not a family, it never was and never will be,” says Gulshan Devaiah after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput

 Actor Gulshan Devaiah has spoken about the concept of Bollywood as a family and has completely rejected the idea. Gulshan who is popularly known for his roles in films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Shaitaan, Hunterrr was reacting to a statement by actor Meera Chopra in which she had apologised on behalf of the film industry for not standing by Sushant Singh Rajput. 

“Bollywood is not a family, it never was and never will be,” says Gulshan Devaiah after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput 

“Really sorry to be doing this but Bollywood is not a family , it never was and never will be . If one thinks it’s a family .. there is the problem. Bollywood is an imaginary name for a place of work that’s it . I am really not trying to put anybody down here & sorry if it seems,” he wrote. 

In her post, Meera Chopra wrote that several people in the industry were aware of what Sushant was going through. “If your 1 movie flops they will start treating you like an untouchable. True, Bollywood is a small family, but a kind of family which is never there when you need them,” she wrote.

Sushant was known for his acclaimed performances in films such as MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sonchiriya, Kai Po Che, and Detective Byomkesh Bakshi among others. The actor’s film Dil Bechara, a remake of The Fault in our Stars will soon be released on Disney plus Hotstar.
